I know how to make a backup by going to Setup/Tools -> Database Maintenance -> BackUp but is there any kind of tool or script that I can run on a regular basis to automate the creation of this backup file?

We had a slight scare today and briefly lost access to our MiniMRP Data file and I would like to make our backup procedure more robust.

The database file is a single file that you could include into your regular PC backup schedule.

The software usually installs in the folder

c:program files(x86)MiniMRP5

You could include that folder in your backup schedule. Oe, in that folder, just back up the data folder. See the file named "MRP5DATA". That's your data file.

The above is for a single user standard install. If you have moved the data to a shared folder then you should know where the data file is. If you have a 'Pro' version and are using an SQL Server database then you should use SQL Server's backup schedule

Our server does get backed up every evening. I was looking to have our MRP data backed up more often. Good to know all I have to do is backup the MRP5DATA file.

Thanks.
