My previous post wasn't answered, but basically I need to either change or delete some component/assembly categories. How do I do this?

Sorry for the slow reply. Somebody did reply earlier today - that is basically how it works.
When looking at the item detail window - that's the window where you can edit item description etc - you can click into the 'Category' box and key over the existing category text write in a new one.
If the category doesn't exist yet it'll be created automatically.
If no more items exist in a category it'll be deleted/removed automatically. (ie a category is automatically removed when no items exist in it.
Another feature is if you go to the menu bar to the left of the program window and click the button to see all items by category this brings up a list of all categories showing the number of items in that category with a small[+] button so you can expand it to see items in that category. But if you click into the category name box and key in a new name then all items in that category will be moved into the new category removing the old one from the system (ie just the category name is removed from the system and all items that were in that category are moved to the new category
