I've just upgraded to V5 from V4 and I can create duplicate part numbers(not good for me)
I get a message in V4 saying that this number already exists.
Is there a setting I have forgot about to set Part numbers as unique? I can't find one.
Thanks,
Steve

Thanks Steve - I remember somebody else mentioned that a short while ago.
I don't think you can create a NEW item with a part number that already exists but it is possible to RENAME an existing item to one that already exists.
In any case I'll have a look to make sure it's in the next update.

Yes, correct you can over right an existing part number without warning.
Very nearly caused a major issue, I had inadvertently saved new assembly with an existing number which was used in other assembly's.
Luckily just spotted it as the orders were placed, could have been costly.

An update was due for release this morning - I've pushed that back to this afternoon just to give us time to get this fix in there as well

It's on my desk already - I just need to test it before releasing it.

Can you put the latest version number on the downloads page so I don't keep having to download and see what version current is?
Cheers
