I'm trying to import a P&V file into minimrp. It is very frustrating because the user manual instructions don't match the menu items on my software (Ver 5.0). There is no database utilities function. Also, does anybody use the "user manual" it seems to be very incomplete. Note, I am using a remote MS SQL database, which works fine. I have searched he forum but the instructions I found are very vague.

Importing p&v shouldn't be a problem unless you're using a version of p&v that we've never see before.
There is no special "p&v import tool". Just use the normal MiniMRP "Restore" tool.
Everyone else has used this page (link below) for instructions. I know that page mentions MiniMRP Databases but this also works for P&V data files.
Using the SQLTools program connect to your database. This opens the backup/restore tabs. Select the Restore tab. Navigate to your p&v data file and it should do the conversion and import into SQL Server.
Important: This instruction is for MS SQL Server. If you are using the Standard/Default MiniMRP database then don't use SQLTools. Just use the backup/restore button within MiniMRP 'Tools' menu.
Anyone with any questions about this - or if you find that your p&v datafile fails to import - please email for support.

Great the tool works perfectly. I didn't realize that restore worked with P&V.
So what about the manual? Is there a more complete version somewhere or does everybody just use the forum?
I've just bought 5 licenses, this is looking very good.
