The search field available within “components” and “assemblies” is limited to part number and description.
Is it possible to extend it to the “suppliers’ part numbers” put in the "Suppliers" section of an item? This would make it easier to find it, based on the code assigned by the supplier too.

Ignore the search boxes at the bottom. They're just there because that's how earlier versions of the software used to search.
The best thing to do is select "All Components" or "All Assemblies" this brings up a list of all yout items. Then look at the top of the window at the column headers. Click a column header, for example the column header for Supplier part Number" and you can add a filter. You can add multiple filters on multiple different columns to drill down to the part you're looking for.
