Topic:   Inventory CSV import

By: AndyPosted on: Feb 6 2019 at 04:00:49 AM
I have a large number of items in inventory that I wish to change the BIN location of. Rather than change each individually I tried exporting to CSV, doing a global change to the BIN location on the CSV then re-importing. This says it has imported but does not change the original data. Anyone know what I am doing wrong?

You're not doing anything wrong - you just can't change the BIN by importing CSV.

Only way to do it is by editing the BIN within minimrp.

Easiest way to do it is to select "All Components" from the menu. This brings up a list of all components.
In the right side of the window is a 'Lock'. Click to UnLock.

Then go down the list editing directly into the BIN column. No need to 'save'. It saves as soon as you cursor down to the next row.

Thanks, that works, not quite as easy but OK.
