Why can't we have minimum qty of 0 and then any negative number after a work order has subtracted the item to a negative value show on a report?

Sorry, to clarify I mean the shortage report.

Doesn't the shortage report already do that? If you had, for example, 4 on the shelf and future work orders would require 10 then that would show a shortage of 6 in the report.
But if you just want to know what items are already in negative quantity then just sort "Inventory, All Components" by the quantity column and you'll see them.
If I've misunderstood the question please do come back and clarify. Or email:-

Yes, I did decide I could use the inventory report to see what is below zero. I am currently using PV and sometimes habits create questions that I have to find a work around for. I am doing a trial on minimrp and thinking about switching from PV. There are some benefits but a few issues to work around after using PV for 15 years.
