Topic: Missing Info (Headers and Data) in All Assemblies
|
By: Steve | Posted on: May 8 2019 at 11:55:22 AM | I've looked through the topics and didn't readily see this one. So maybe i'm the only person having the issue. ?
Select all Assemblies or All Components and the full list of assemblies and components are displayed. Some of the headings, and subsequently the data, are missing. Using the Show/Hide Columns configuration menu does not produce the desired results and there are also checkboxes with no labels.

When you close MiniMRP it remembers some of your preferences such as column widths and which columns are visible/hidden so it can set them the same the next time you start the software.
Those preferences are not stored in the database so it's not a real database error. Just something wrong with the local preferences.
Go into the All Components list. Open up the 'Show/Hide' columns option and set a checkmark in all the enabled boxes. Click OK. Then go back in and UnCheck them again. Click OK. CLose MiniMRP. When you restart are the columns now as you expect?
That should fix the problem in the All Components list. If you're also having the same problem in the BOM window then do the same there as well.

Version 5.0.40.0 seems to have fixed the missing labels in the settings dialog.
I also noticed that the manufacturer and manufacturer's part number, while they can be checked, do not retain the checked state when closed and reopened.

They remain hidden, even if you enable them, on the assumption that YOU are the manufacturer so they usually won't show anything.
We have decided though to allow those columns to be shown even if they're empty - not because you need to see empty columns but simply to remove this kind of confusion.
The next update - to be released Mid May 2019 will fix that issue with the Manufacturer columns. It will also fix the other problem with missing labels.

In the assembly editor, Missing headers. Cells are blank until I hit the save button.

The blank header cell in the assembly editor won't affect what you see in a Bill of Materials.
In the assembly editor it's just the item part number and revision that it needs to identify the item for the assembly.
A blank header cell is a glitsch in the software but not one that will cause any problems.
