Will all relevant inventory be reduced whether I use Multi Level or Single Level BOM. Is there a difference between the 2 other than the Multi Level showing more inventory detail.

If you're in Single Level mode then the components inside sub assemblies will not be reduced.
Only items in the top level will be reduced including those sub assemblies that are visible in the top level So the Those sub assemblies will be reduced.
