By: AJS | Posted on: Feb 15 2022 at 05:49:52 AM | Hello,
I am not an IT expert, what is the best way for MiniMrp to be able to be accessed from several PC's? My experience of using a small office network was poor - machines not able to find each other for no reason etc.
Is it best to put the data file on a network drive, or does that have the same issues, or could it be placed online. I have no clue how to even start that, so any pointers would be gratefully received.
I do have the pro version.
Thanks | |

Network/multi-User
Machines don't need to find each other. They just need to be able to see that shared network folder. I'd recommend that the shared folder is not a user's computer. It needs to be an "always on" machine or NAS device.
For online you'd need to be looking at MS SQL Server, MySQL or MariaDB. But these need a little bit of tech know-how to setup but your IT department should be able to do that for you | |
