Topic: New version notifications?
|
By: Guest | Posted on: Feb 11 2021 at 01:36:53 PM | Is there a page on the website that lists current version?
If not, is there a mailing list or something else that lets users know that something new is available? Other than downloading and installing to find if the current download from the site is a new version.

By: Guest | Posted on: Feb 13 2021 at 01:41:43 AM | Minimrp used to have a page with all the releases and notes of bug fixes as well as new features.
By: Guest | Posted on: Feb 16 2021 at 10:45:56 AM | "MiniMRP used to have a page with all the releases...."
Yep, thought I remembered that. Is that still around and not just linked via the main site, so you can only see it if you know/guess the webpage url?

By: Merton | Posted on: Feb 24 2021 at 03:41:37 AM | If the version you have is working then stick with it. Why chase the next biggest number and potentially install a new bug. That doesn't just apply to their minimrp. It applies to all software. Every update from microsoft contains at least a few new bugs that they fix in the next update - and introduce others. It's just the nature of software. Why do you think Microsoft issue so many updates
If you have a problem with your version then contact their support. They'l advice whether to reinstall or not.
But. If it ain't broke. Don't fix it.

By: Stefan | Posted on: Feb 24 2021 at 04:02:55 AM | Version 4 had this revision update and it was so clear what is the latest version and what were the issues which where tackled. Then you can decide for yourself if to update or not. Why is this not present in V5. For example I have a few bugs, eg from PO the export to CSV doesnt work. How can I know if there was an update to fix this?

By: Guest | Posted on: Feb 24 2021 at 05:27:47 AM | I agree - but when bugs etc. are found, it would be good to know that a fix is available, then you can decide if you need to update.
By: Merton | Posted on: Feb 24 2021 at 08:22:37 AM | Stefan. That sounds like an important bug. How long have you been living with that bug?
Don't live with a bug. If you have a genuine bug then email "support at minimrp dot com". They can't fix a bug unless somebody tells them it exists.
If you report a bug then you'll find out very quickly if it's been fixed and, if it hasn't, they'll usually fix it within just a day.
By: Support | Posted on: Feb 24 2021 at 09:01:59 AM | I just added some data to this thread:
Latest Version Info Please
Stefan. I notice that your bug is not mentioned in that list of fixes but I'm not able to reproduce your bug. test with latest version and report if the problem is still there.
But. As Merton said above. If it ain't broke. Don't fix it.
If it is broke then don't delay. Tell us about it. Don't live with a bug.
