Topic: Option to Open Work Order from Assemblies Page

| By: Rodolfo Izquierdo | Posted on: Oct 13 2025 at 11:18:07 AM | I recently installed a newer version of miniMRP and found that I am no longer able to open current Work Orders when viewing them through the All Assemblies or Assemblies by Category panels in the OnOrder column. The number of assemblies on order is viewable but it doesn't allow to open the order from this point, as it previously did and was super useful for us.
One thing to note is the option to open Purchase Orders from the Components panels is available at the OnOrder column, though work orders cannot be opened from the Required qty column.
Is there something I'm missing or is this something that can be implemented in a future update? It helps me cutting down in navigating through multiple tabs and avoids having to go back and forth. | |
| By: Support | Posted on: Oct 16 2025 at 05:52:52 AM | At first I was going to reply saying that nothing has changed - but then I re-read your post and looked back in the program source code.
I now see that the change was made a year or so ago but, at this stage, I don't know why. We did some changes with the shortage reports that also showed that 'view' widgit allowing you to see into work orders but, at that time, it was disabled. But. As I said. I don't know why.
Later this month we expect an update for some other minor issues. I'll take some time to see if I can get that feature re-enabled for you. | |
