hi. I may being stupid but we have clients who order 3000 units but we deliver in varying QTY based on their demand. currently allocate all materials to make sure we have enough when they order as they often have shortages for the full qty.. then I delete the WO for 3000 and raise new WO for each delivery. is there a better way of doing this? if i issue the parts for the full 3000 can you still finish the WO in different amounts over time without the system "using" more parts? many thanks.

When a work order is issued/WIP (Work In Progress) you CAN complete partial quantity.
So if the WO is for 3000 and you have 3000 in WIP you can complete 500 and ship them to the customer leaving the remaining 2500 in WIP.
