we have a lot of part numbers that share the same paramters for virtual everything but the part number and description.. would really speed up data entry if you could copy the part number data to a new one. any thoughts? thanks

You can
1. List ALL COMPONENTS.
2. Double click one to open the detail/edit window.
3. Click into the PartNumber box and edit/change the part number.
4. Click the SAFE button.
5 A Box pop up asking whether you want to create a whole new part leaving the original intact or overwrite the original with the new part number.
I think there may be a "Save As" menu option somewhere but I find the above much quicker.
