I need to produce a BOM showing just level 1 and 2 parts in a very large BOM for a shipping list.
Is this possible without exporting to Excel and deleting all the unwanted lines?

Just 2 levels - that's a strange ask.
When looking at the BOM window go to the menu at the very top of the window and there's an option to switch to a single level.
So, it's single level or all levels. Never thought there'd be any reason to go down to the second level.
How many sub assemblies are there in that level 2?
If there's just a few then you can go to the item detail of each one and change its "TYPE" to "CSAS" (Closed Sub Assembly). Then when you open the BOM it won't break down into those CSAS assemblies.

Yes, a strange ask.
We are shipping a large machine via containers on ship, we will have about 15 containers each with about 10 wooden creates, I need a list of each crate and it contents but just that level not all the sub levels.
To many items to set to CSAS.
Its not too bad a job exporting to Excel, I can sort by level the delete the (2000) lines I don't need.
