I am fiding that when I place a WO for a top level item it is only letting me know the shortages of the sub assemblies on the next level down, and not down through the further levels, and that I cannot find out what other lower level sub assemblies I am short of until I place a WO for the highter level ones. Is there a way so that when I place a WO for a top level item it will show the stock requirments of the sub assemblies all the way down through the BOM. I am currently trialling 4.2

If your sub assemblies are type "CSAS" (Closed Sub ASsembly) then the levels don't explode down inside that sub assembly (because it's closed)
But if you set the sub assembly to type "ASSY" then the levels do explode down inside the assembly. But then it shows shortages for the components not the sub assemblies. So maybe that doesn't
