I want to stress that the reason for v5 is not to introduce a raft of new features. It's still "mini" mrp.
The reason for the big step from v4.2 to v5.0 instead of a small update to v4.3) is because we've lot of changes "under the hood" things the average user won't notice but which will ensure MiniMRP remains compatible with future versions of Windows and computer hardware. In other words it's not going to fall over as soon as another version of Windows is released.
Of course we have updated a few things that users have been requesting. Here's some of more interesting improvements.
As well as Microsoft Databases, MiniMRP v5 will also work with MySQL. So, if you have MySQL running on a server or on a NAS drive or on your Internet/web Server then you'll be able to migrate and connect to that.
We've improved the search and filter. For example when looking at something like the "All Components" grid you can apply any number of filters to any number of columns.
As well as the current item types "PART", "ASSY", "CSAS" we've added a new type "MISC" (Miscellaneous items). These are items that have a value so affect the build cost of the assembly but when issued/kitted in a work order BOM will not be physically reduced/taken from your inventory. An example would be something like Labor. It has a value and you want it in the total build cost but when kitting you don't want the OnHand quantity of Labor to be reduced in your inventory.
Customer Discount % on the order/invoice. Also Currency on Customer Orders/Invoices (Enterprise Edition)
Purchase Order RFQ (Request for Quotation).
UnDockable tabs. MiniMRP v5 still has the same 'Tabbed' window as v4 but now you can drag tabs out of the main window so can appear as independent windows anywhere on your display. Allows you to see multiple task/windows side by side rather than tabbed one on top of the other
There's lots of other smaller things that have been requested by users. One thing I noticed in another thread was somebody asking for it to Auto Generate Work Order Numbers. That's being done today so will be in v5 - but please don't keep requesting more changes otherwise we'll never get v5 released.
Lets get v5 released and then you can start making suggestions.

Hi. Not adding another request as this was mentioned ages ago I think. Will there be a 'refresh' button on the works orders pages? It's on every other page and it would really help. Looking forwards to the auto generate works order number option. Thanks.

Brilliant :)
Is there a way to show the minimum stock column on the Inventory by Supplier page? It's not on the show/hide menu.

How do i update from 4.2 to 5?
1. Using your current 4.2 version go to the back/restore options (Very bottom of the menu on the left of the program window. Tools) Make a backup.
2. Download and install version 5 from the downloads page on this website.
3. Using v5 go to the Back/Restore options and 'Restore' the backup you made earlier.
4. Test it to make sure it's all working as you expect. It'll run for 30 days before you need to pay for the upgrade. (only $65 USD)
5. At the very top right corner of this page you see a [Prices] button. Click that and go to the prices page. Scroll to the very bottom to see the 'Ugrade' button to pay for the upgrade.

Also of interest is that v5 does not overwrite or replace v4. So you can install v5 as per the previous instructions and play with it for a while while continuing to use v4 for your real work.
