I wanted to void a purchase order, did not want to delete it so I closed it but when I did this the purchase order disappeared. I did not see it in the completed purchase order list.

If you select the menu option to Close a purchase order even though items still haven't been received then the PO really should be in the completed purchase orders list.
Do you see a 'More' button in the bottom right corner? Click that.
