Most of our products are assemblies made out of other assemblies.
Example:
Item Level Part Number Description Type
808569 SZ.Fensterrahmen lks ASSY
1 1 808944 Profil 753.7 lg ASSY
2 ... 2 506456 Profil 70x27.5 Aluminiu
3 1 808255 Profil unten lks ASSY
4 ... 2 506125 Profil 60x30 Aluminiu
Our problem is that when we process the Bill of Materials, we would like to see also for these subassemblies the required quantities, allocated and available, and the work orders for them, just like it's shown as for parts that are components.
Or maybe you could suggest a workaround for this?
Thanks.

Go to your listof assemblies. Double-click one to open the item detail window. In the middle at the top is the 'TYPE' option.
If a sub assembly is type=ASSY then that would not be built on separate work orders. It will be built at the same time as the parent assembly. Some larger MRP/BOM programs call this type of sub assembly a 'Phantom' because it isn't pre-built sub assembly taken from inventory.
Another type is CSAS (Closed Sub ASembly). When a sub assembly is type=CSAS then that is expected to exist in your inventory (it's not phantom) and it must be built on other work orders.
