miniMrp 4 - Upgrade3to4
Upgrade from version 3

 

To upgrade from any v3 to any v4

  • Make a backup of your current database using the v3 version of miniMrp. (ie before installing v4)
     
  • Install v4. (If network/MultiUser then you must install the same version on all computers)
     
  • Start the new version of miniMrp and restore the backup you made earlier.
     

Note: Migration up to SQL Server is optional. If installing the enterprise edition you can still run Enterprise features without migrating up to MS SQL Server.

If you do intend to migrate up to MS SQL Server then you should still follow the above instructions which will convert your database into the standard v4 format. Then, after installing v4, make another backup using the standard backup/restore tool before restoring into SQL Server using the sqlDbTools that you should have installed on the computer/server where your instance of MS SQL Server is running.
